Job description :

In view of its current development, ESDES is opening a position as Director of the Marketing Department.
The successful candidate for the position on the Lyon campus will manage the faculty of the marketing department. He/She will be a member of the academic board.

The main responsibilities of the appointee include the following:

  • Conducting research and publishing in journals in the FNEGE/ABS lists,
  • Teaching in various levels using innovative pedagogy (French & English)
  • Define and ensure compliance with the workload plan of permanent teachers attached to the academic department
  • Assigning teaching hours to temporary lecturers on the modules of the academic department (contacting lecturers, identifying availability, filling in teaching production plans, etc.),
  • Ensure the production and quality of all pedagogical documents related to the teaching of the academic department (syllabus, exam subjects, pedagogical notice, etc.),
  • Ensure the pedagogical coordination between teachers on the same module,
  • Guarantee quality and pedagogical progression between the different courses of the academic department on each (year) program,
  • Participate in the recruitment of permanent faculty staff for the academic department,
  • Manage the permanent faculty staff of the academic department (team meetings, pedagogical innovation, skills development, …),
  • Ensuring the qualification of the faculty in the sense of accreditations (AACSB, EFMD, CEFDG)
  • Participate in the various accreditation files.

Job details:

  • Full time position (CDI)
  • Remuneration will be based on the applicant’s academic qualifications and experience

Profile / skills required

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. from a leading institution (accredited AACSB or EQUIS) and have an established record of excellence in teaching (English and French) and research within the advertised discipline.

Candidates demonstrates team management skills and a strong sense of responsibility ideally with similar academic experience.
