Audencia Business School is triple accredited (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), and one of the leading European and French Business Schools. The school offers a wide range of programs including MSc, MBA, Executive MBA, European Master in Management, Doctorate and Executive Education Programs, with 137 core faculty members from 29 countries.
Audencia is a school with several campuses: on 8 sites at present (and soon 10). The school’s main campus is located in Nantes on the “Jonelière” campus. Nantes is a young and dynamic French city close to the sea (one hour drive) and two hours away from Paris by train, serviced by an international airport. Located in the heart of the faculty district, opposite the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and on the banks of the Erdre River, the Jonelière campus is the largest campus of Audencia Business School. As part of its ECOS 2021-2025 strategic plan, the school continues to expand with the opening of a collaborative campus in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a campus in Shanghai (China) and a renewed campus in Paris.
The postdoctoral researcher will benefit from the material and scientific infrastructure of Audencia, allowing him/her to carry out research in the best conditions. Moreover, he/she will be included in the academic life of the research team of the school, including senior researchers and PhD students, in a multinational and stimulating scientific and professional atmosphere. 100+ research professors are involved in its research lab ‘Audencia research’ that produced more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 107 books and 46 case studies. Professors regularly attract both private and public funding including research grants at the local, regional, national and European level.
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Audencia research lab and will work under the supervision of Professor Carine Girard-Guerraud, Finance Professor at Audencia since 2003.
This contract is supported by a Research Grant funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (AAPG2021 OSMosis). The grant covers a three-year collaborative project with academic partners (Mines ParisTech; Audencia; IAE Lille; INSEEC; Kedge Business School; Nantes University) and professionals involved in the Communauté des Sociétés de Mission (CEM) A French Corporate Purpose Community
The postdoctoral researcher will interact regularly with all these partners throughout the project.

CONTENT OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT
The objective of the project coordinated by Professor Girard-Guerraud is to explore the role of the investor in
French companies that choose the legal status of the mission company. First, a database of more than 500
companies will be completed to identify the characteristics of the ownership structure of these companies and
to analyze its relationship with different governance configurations. Second, a typology of the “mission
investor” will be requested. This will be derived from several interviews in progress and to be done.
The postdoctoral researcher will have the following objectives:
1. Enrich a database of over 500 companies focusing on their ownership structure and governance
2. Set up, conduct studies, and analyze collected data using qualitative and quantitative research
3. Write research papers
The contract is for 12 months.
